Sometimes it seems there is a genre that we are building up to, and in our defense, there are a lot of genres to cover. Brick by brick and stone by stone, we are trying to construct a database of wonderful genres to introduce to you all! So, we thank you all for being a bastion or patience that has fortified yourself for a possibly long wait for some of your favourite genres. We are listening and we'll get to it 😉 . Oh, and have fun storming the castle! 🏰
Today's GAPP is a Castle Wall!
Rules: Draw a non-intersecting loop through the centers of some cells. The loop may not enter outlined cells or cells containing clues. White cells with outlines must lie inside the loop, while black cells with outlines must lie outside the loop. Grey cells may either be inside or outside the loop. A number represents the sum of the lengths of loop segments in the indicated direction. For clarification, loop segments are counted by how many times the loop crosses a cell border in that direction and does NOT need to be continuous loop segments to satisfy the number clue.
Feel free to check out the example linked here, especially for clarification on that last part of the rules. https://tinyurl.com/24bzkuuf

Mind The GAPP 3 is here!
This month saw the debut of the Great Crossover Event, where the GAS setters (and bakpao
) took over GAPP for a week, bringing some great puzzles along with them. As we approach 1000 daily pencil puzzle solvers (960+ and counting), the GAPP team look forward to the months to come and are excited for potential projects down the line.
As always, there are a few bonus puzzles which are a little harder than GAPP; these do not have sloth/crab time standards, but feel free to record your times if you so wish (and don't hesitate to ask for hints in the discussion channel should you get stuck). You may be getting a little bit more than you bargained for in this volume, though!
