Eric Fox

Recently I reminded myself of this genre by thinking: "What's the most overlooked genre in my puzzle dictionary?"
The answer is the one at the very, very beginning! When someone opens it up to choose a random genre, they immediately start scrolling to a random page, so no one ever lands at the start. ABC Box is a great genre though, and a version of it recently gained popularity as a Fillomino variant. Why not give the original genre a try?

Rules: Place a letter from the range given outside the grid into each cell (In this case, A through C). Each row and column is described outside the grid by its runs of consecutive cells which contain the same letter. A box may represent any letter. Two consecutive runs may not be of the same letter.

⚠️ Answer check will not work if you have letters placed outside of the main grid.
