Freddie Hand

Today's puzzle is a View. Don't worry, I haven't forgotten the word canal. But nor was I expecting its omission to result in a weird sukoro/canal view fusion. "It's dangerous to go alone! Take this penpa, Link."

But seriously, Penpa might be nicer to use for this genre. Though if you are using puzz.link on desktop, a handy shortcut is X for crosses and Z for circles.

Rules: Place a number into some cells so that all cells with numbers form one orthogonally connected area. Numbers represent how many numberless cells are connected to them in a straight line horizontally or vertically. No two orthogonally adjacent cells may contain the same number.

Acquire a Speedy Sloth 🦥 by solving the puzzle in 5:00 or less!
Obtain a Quick Crab 🦀 by solving the puzzle in 10:00 or less!
And all solvers who complete the puzzle will be rewarded with an See-see Partridge 🐦
