Here is another ruleset I discovered at this year's Logic Masters: Sackbahnhöfe (Terminal Stations) is a variant of Railroad Tracks/Train Stations that was originally invented for an entire round of such variants at Logic Masters 2024. I thought it's an interesting and unusual (yet neatly thematic) twist on loop genres, and so I wanted to introduce more people to it.
The base genre was featured once on GAPP () as was a different variant, Japanese Railway (), both by Freddie.
Rules:
- For each number, draw a "terminal", i.e. a straight line segment of length 2 with the number at its centre.
- Draw a loop that passes through exactly one endpoint of each terminal, as well as all cells not covered by terminals. (The loop cannot pass through numbers.) The loop crosses itself only at the given intersections.
- Going around the loop, the terminals must be visited in ascending order, cycling from the largest clue back to 1.
