Freddie Hand

Sunday GAPP brings no shortage of cursed grids, but sometimes puzzles can even be a bit too evil for even a Sunday. I'm saving these for when we switch to the 8-day week and a 4-author cycle. In the meantime, here is an Akari (Cube) that merely violates the laws of physics.

Rules: Place lights in some cells so that every cell is illuminated. Lights illuminate the cell they’re in as well as all cells seen in a straight line in any orthogonal direction (with lines "wrapping round" the edges of the cube), not obstructed by a black cell. Lights may not illuminate each other. Clues indicate the number of lights in the (up to) four cells surrounding the clue, i.e. the cells that share an edge with the clue.

(The dotted lines in the example solution indicate which cells each bulb illuminates).
