I'm back from my travels! I don't handle heat so well, so usually when I come back to the Netherlands from warmer countries, I'm relieved to be back in lower temperatures. Imagine my surprise when I got off the plane only to find out we were in the middle of a heatwave! The temperature was horrific and less bearable than it was in Spain! In a desperate effort to cool down somewhat, I wrote an ice cold puzzle, but it's not helping much...
Today's puzzle is an Icebarn!
Rules: Draw a path through the centers of some cells, entering the grid at the “IN” marking and exiting at the “OUT” marking. The path must travel through all of the arrows in the indicated direction. Two perpendicular line segments may intersect each other only on icy cells, but they may not turn at their intersection or otherwise overlap. The path may not turn on icy cells, and each orthogonally connected group of icy cells must be passed through at least once.
GAPP 101 🧐: Whenever N path segments with the same directionality all point at a common directly adjacent cell with N available exits, that cell cannot be visited by any segments! If a segment were to visit the cell, it would be forced to connect to a segment with opposite directionality. The spoilered image shows two instances of these cells in red.
