Menderbug

Let's check out one of the rulesets from the upcoming Puzzle Grand Prix. The structure of the round is such that there are six classic genres across the usual categories, and each has two vanilla puzzles and one variant. We've featured all of the classics before, so here is one of the variants: Canal View (Windows). The GP calls the variant "Anti-clone", but Windows has been in use for a long time, so I'll stick with that.

Regular Canal View has appeared several times on GAPP, such as this one by Freddie which also links back to a few others: Archive: Thursday, 10 August 2023

Rules:
- Shade some cells so that all shaded cells form one orthogonally connected area and no 2x2 region is entirely shaded.
- Clues cannot be shaded, and represent the number of shaded cells connected in a straight line horizontally or vertically to the clue.
- Windows: The two outlined regions match in shape and orientation. If a cell in one region is shaded, then the matching cell in the other region must be unshaded. If a cell is one region is unshaded, then the matching cell in the other region must be shaded.
