Today’s GAPP is a Simple Loop! This puzzle is intended to teach a deduction that’s on the borderline of what we consider GAPP difficulty. Similar to Lavaloid’s ✨ Studying Sunday ✨ Masyu ( Archive: Sunday, 18 February 2024), I’ve provided a hint in the GAPP 101 and an explanation of the deduction below. I’d recommend trying to think through it on your own first, and checking the hint if you feel stuck!

Rules: Draw a single non-intersecting loop through the centers of all empty cells.

Here’s a GAPP 101: After solving the upper left quadrant of the grid, look at the two adjacent quadrants. Where must the loop go?
Deduction: After the loop enters the bottom left quadrant, it can only continue to the bottom right through the gap below the central group of shaded cells, so there must be a loop segment going through that gap. Similarly, there must be a loop segment through the gap to the right of the central group of shaded cells.
