Today's standard-shaped, normal-sized puzzle is a La Paz, a frankly underrated genre (despite already being quite highly rated)! Today's puzzle also comes with a GAPP 101.

Rules: Shade some cells such that no two shaded cells share an edge, and divide all unshaded cells into dominoes (pairs of edge-adjacent cells). Clues cannot be shaded. If a clue is in a vertical domino, it indicates how many shaded cells are in its column. If a clue is in a horizontal domino, it indicates how many shaded cells are in its row.

GAPP 101: Since shaded cells cannot be adjacent, there can be at most one shaded cell per pair of edge-adjacent cells. It is often helpful to see if this limits any larger clues. This step is used (to a lesser degree) in the example!
