Don't get lost in the dark! πŸ”¦ Today I have for you a puzzle all about illumination: It's Light and Shadow! This genre shares a name with a completely different genre which has been covered on GAPP twice now:

To avoid confusion, today's genre can also be called Hikatokage.

Rules: Place lights in some cells of the grid so as to cast shadows, indicated by grey cells. Lights illuminate the cell they’re in as well as all cells seen in a straight line horizontally or vertically, not obstructed by a black cell. Lights may not illuminate each other. If a black cell is illuminated by a light, cells in a straight line behind the black cell have a shadow cast onto them, unless illuminated by another light. Shadows do not continue through other black cells.

I have a small tip for solving puzzles of this genre.
GAPP 101: Lights cannot be placed in any cell which directly sees a shadow. This seems obvious, but immediately crossing out all of those cells makes a world of difference.
