Walkthrough of yesterday's Ivy, as explained by Walker: https://youtu.be/WRCDob9vM1Y
Genre after genre covered, and only a few total otters! Today we have a lucky pair that guessed Yajisan-Kazusan-- @jonn and @rotiro, enjoy your otters 🦦! If you typed yajikazu, yajisan-kazusan, or yajisan kazusan, you got an otter! I did not accept yaji, as that starts about a dozen different genre names. Speak precisely, please!
Also, stick around for a GAPP 101-- hopefully you find it helpful!
Rules: Shade some cells so that no two shaded cells are orthogonally adjacent and the remaining unshaded cells form one orthogonally connected area. If a cell with a number in it is unshaded, the number represents how many shaded cells are in a straight line in the indicated direction. If a cell with a number in it is shaded, the number is meaningless.

GAPP 101: An arrow of size N pointing at N shaded cells must have the cell directly in front of the arrow unshaded. This is because if it were shaded, it would unshade the arrowed cell, causing it to point at N+1 shaded cells!
