Including today's puzzle, the last four LITS (or variant) we featured have been mine. I am very normal about this genre. Today's GAPP teaches you a certain deduction. I recommend trying it out without the 101, and only reading it if you're stuck.
Previous standard LITS by me:
Rules: Shade one tetromino of cells in each region so that all shaded cells form one orthogonally connected area. Two tetrominoes of the same shape may not share a bold border, counting rotations and reflections as the same. No 2x2 region may be entirely shaded.
GAPP 101: Two adjacent shaded cells form a "border" in the cells beside them that can't be crossed with shaded cells, in effect splitting the region in two
Finish the puzzle in 1:15 or less for a Speedy Sloth 🦥!

Finish with any time at all for a Four-in-a-row Forster's Tern 🐦!
